This series is concerned with the death of my mother, my divorce with my husband and the prospect of being alone. Each drawing is 50 inches in height by approximately 72 inches wide. They are mixed media: watercolor crayon and charcoal.

This drawing is 70 inches square. The media are black pigmented pen, and gold and silver marker on rag paper. It was done especially for a show called “Artist Dialogs,” at the California Center for Fine Arts in Escondito, CA, curated by artist, RAÚL GUERRERO, with whom I showed my work early in the 70s…

I did these drawings because I was excited to have a gallery in the District of Columbia where I could show them.
