The three images below represent groups of nine drawings which are meant to be shown one group next to the other. They are 22-1/4 inches square with approximately 1/2 inch between the drawings in the layout. All together the groups would display at about 235 inches horizontally and 67 inches in height.
These drawing deal with random sets of color variations of primary colors, secondary colors, and the third group of variations of black, white, and gray.
There is more going on spatially and metaphorically in the Color on Color. The drawings below are flat and seemingly inconsequential. There are no picture planes.
The ‘spirit’ lies in the distance between the small arc and the bottom arc, in the zone where we can hold the breath and then blow it out; a place for knowing the third eye, with eyes closed.
